Guest Blog: Alyssa, Marketing and Social Media Specialist

Today we have a special guest blog from our second Marketing team member, Alyssa! Read on to learn about her and how she came to Power Tee, and who her favorite Power Tee Ambassador is (hint: it's the one with the accent).

Hello readers! My name is Alyssa and I am taking over the blog today. I am very excited to be here.

A little quick about me: my name is Alyssa (just in case you didn’t read the first time), and I am one of the Marketing and Social Media Specialists here at Power Tee. I graduated from the University of West Florida this past May, which makes me the baby of the office. I am obsessed with my dog, Wrigley, and I am a huge sports fan.

Who's a good boy, Wrigley? You are!

I grew up watching sports with my grandpa, who is a huge Packers fan (gross), but also grew up watching sports with my uncle, the Bears fan. So I have always been divided and didn't really care too much about who won until I met my boyfriend Bradley. This guy is the biggest sports fan (and Chicago fan) I have ever met and I am not exaggerating when I say, we have won trivia night at Mellow Mushroom because he knew every random sports fact asked.

Why am I talking about this? Because he drug me deeper into my love of sports and made me realize I wanted a career in sports. Random note: Our freshman year of college he made me watch every Chicago Bulls game with him and learn all the players names, which I see now is pointless because most of them are no longer on the team (RIP Derrick Rose).

Anyway, I decided to major in Communications with a focus in Public Relations and minor in Marketing with a desire to end up as a press secretary for the Chicago Cubs (LOL I know), but this is what brought me to Power Tee. I was just a little ol’ senior in college applying to jobs on Indeed, when I came across a post looking for a social media specialist. I internally screamed (might have actually screamed out loud from excitement) and applied, knowing full well I probably wasn’t going to get hired since I was still in college.

I called and followed up literally two minutes after turning in my resume and told the man who answered that even though I was still in college, I was determined to put in the work and show that I can beat out anyone who has 6 years of experience in the real world.

Fast forward a few months later, and here I am! Power Tee took a chance on a little college girl and I will always be thankful for that. I have grown our social media following and presence by half and I wont stop until we take over the WORLD! fresh-inspiration-globe-clipart-black-and-white-letters-format

I now get to work with golf legends around the world and hope to one day meet our ambassador Thomas Bjorn (heart eyes).  Power Tee is an amazing company to work for and has great social media posts (you're welcome) so you all should 100% follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
